Prepare For Yoga
Preparing For Class
Please come to class with an
empty stomach, an open mind
and be well hydrated.
You may get pretty warm and
sweaty during your Ashtanga
Vinyasa practice. You are
welcome to drink water during
class (please have a container
with a secure lid) -- though it is
not always recommended since
it may cause stomach upset.
It's best not to eat at least 2
hours before practice (since we
bend, invert & twist) but you will
find what works best for you.
Listen to your body. Don't push
beyond your level. Your body
benefits from the postures no
matter what your level. Leave
judgment at the door. Be happy
with what your body can do!
Practicing yoga in a comfortable
group setting can help you
create a more consistent,
beneficial & enjoyable practice.

Wear comfortable non-binding clothing.
Beware of big t-shirts that can fall over your
face when you bend over or invert! When
the weather is cooler you might want to
wear layers that you can remove as your
body gets warmer. You may want to bring a
hand towel if you sweat a lot.
*Please inform me of
any injuries you have,
medications you take or
physical conditions that
might affect your
practice. I want
everyone to practice
safely.
